Our ride with Granite Mountain Outfitters was simply the best! We arrived for our morning ride about 15 minutes early to find the guides finishing up morning duties and getting horses ready for the day. One of them came over to us with pommel bags (to carry our things in on the ride) and greeted us with a smile. We packed up our things and headed to the office to fill out paperwork and receive a safety orientation and our horse assignments. We felt very prepared and confident stepping onto our beautiful horses. The animals are very well taken care of and delightfully spoiled rotten! So sweet and willing to carry us up and down a 10,000 foot mountain! The views were beautiful and our guide Kaytlin was knowledgeable, professional, and so kind (to us and the animals!)! If you are in the area, definitely call this establishment and book a ride!!
What an experience!! We are all inexperienced riders in my family and had an absolute blast with GMO. The guides are all so personable and knowledgeable. Our guide Codi was just the sweetest. We learned so much about the surrounding areas, the flowers and trees, and of course the beloved horses! We took an hour and a half ride and wish we would have gone longer! (Although I don't know if our bums could have handled it!) We got to see some fantastic views and ride some beautiful horses! Can't wait to come back and ride again! Maybe a 2.5 hr next time!
Ride of a lifetime is right! The views on this ride are absolutely amazing. I've ridden horses all my life and usually stay away from guided rides, but boy was this different! These horses are well fed, happy, and hearty. And they work cows on a large ranch twice a year! They're incredibly responsive and so well trained to the job they do in the mountains. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The guides were so smart and friendly. Our guide Codi knew each and every one of our 5 horse's personalities and how they would react to different situations and even where they would stop to pee! It was great to see such a personal and caring touch on a recreational horseback ride. We will be returning in years to come and will be bringing more to experience this gem of a stable!

Excellent outfitters. My wife and I ride maybe once a year and found this ride and our guide to be probably the best we have been on. Crew were very professional with the safety orientation. The young lady who took us was very knowledgeable about the area and was a pleasure to spend the time with.
